This type of touch-based regulation practice is used within some approaches to energy psychology and somatic calming techniques, with the intention of supporting nervous system regulation and grounding.
Gently place your index and middle finger in the space just above your upper lip and beneath your nose — the philtrum.
With your other hand, softly cradle the back/base of your skull — the occiput.
Breathe in with a natural breath.
Breathe out slowly.
Continue for around 30 seconds to one minute.
